Performer and gambler Fred Astaire travels to New York City to raise $25,000 to marry his fiancée, only to become entangled with aspiring dancer Ginger Rogers. Considered by many to be Astaire and Rogers’ best dance musical, Swing Time features dance achievements like “Never Gonna Dance,” a superb score by Jerome Kern, and the Academy Award winning song “The Way You Look Tonight” written by Dorothy Fields and Kern.
This series is presented by the Mercer Island Arts Council and Mercer Island Parks & Recreation with additional support from the Mercer Island Sister City Association
