Israeli TV Dinners: Your Honor Season 1 (12 episodes)
It’s no wonder this gripping, award-winning TV legal thriller and its heart-pounding portrayal of a well-meaning family ensnared in Israel’s crime underworld has been optioned for an American remake by CBS Studios. Micah Alkobi is a rising-star judge preparing to run for powerful public office when he learns that his troubled teenage son was involved in a hit-and-run accident involving the son of a notoriously violent crime boss. As the plot unfolds, the show’s title takes on a double meaning as the “honorable” judge discovers just how many laws he’s willing to break in order to shield his son. While the series centers on Alkobi’s Breaking Bad-like transformation, some of the best scenes involve the women who confront him: his mother-in-law; a young lawyer protégé; and a police detective who begins to suspect him. We will show the entire first season (12 episodes), reprising the first four episodes (screened at SJFF 2018) before dinner is served. Catch all 12 or come for dinner and the remaining 8. Tickets purchased by Monday, October 29 include dinner; after that, film only tickets available. Concessions and wine/beer for sale.
